Nutty with sherried notes. Gentle oak char. Crisp.

Toasty oak, syrup. Good sweetness, bittersweet, drying.

What I expect from a good whisky

I'm more of a peaty lover (Lagavulin etc), however, I tried this one on the back of the positive reviews and was not disappointed. I'm not going to wax lyrical with a load of adjectives. This is simply to me, what I expect a good whisky to taste like. I enjoyed every drop.

Disappointing

Nothing special about this one. The colour is brilliant but that is about it. No special notes and you are not left with anything.

An Underrated Single Malt

Many years ago I tried this single malt and thoroughly enjoyed its fruity and spicy character. Fast forward to now and it's still as good as I remember – it’s managed to retain all the qualities I liked about it when I first tried it (unlike the output of certain other distilleries). The tasting notes here are spot on. A criminally underrated, great value whisky. Try it now before word-of-mouth spreads any further and the price inevitably gets jacked up.

Wonderful discovery

I wasn’t sure what to expect when I ordered this but have been very pleasantly surprised. It has a very subtle taste and finish, very mellow, very nice and very easy to drink.
