A glorious single cask bottling of single malt from Blair Athol! This expression spent a dozen years maturing in oak casks, before being transferred to a heavily-charred first-fill bourbon hogshead for finishing. Brimming with sweet malt, buttery oak, and toasty char, this is a fine sipper indeed.
Wafts of creamy vanilla balance bold barley whilst buttery popcorn, crisp apple, and caramel bring sweetness alongside a good helping of toasty char.
Hefty notes of vanilla now, with caramelised nuts and fresh orchard fruits resting upon subtle hints of flint and menthol.
Mouthfilling malt and silky oak char, more toasted nuts, burnt sugar.
