This is the 2021 release of Bladnoch's 19 year old single malt Scotch whisky, which has been treated to a finishing period in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. Pedro Ximénez sherry is well-known for its bold, intense sweetness, and the casks have long been used by whisky makers to impart some of said character to the spirit. That is exactly what has happened here – a good helping of dried fruit and tangy citrus notes have worked their way into this single malt's flavour profile! Delish!
This bottle was part of a private collection and may show signs of wear if of a certain vintage - if you'd like more detailed photos just get in touch!
Anise, candied pineapple, ginger snaps, orange peel, dates.
Raisin, liquorice, more citrus, mature oak, nutmeg, and roasted almonds.
Cassia and cinnamon, with a hint of dried fruit.
