Smoke & Dagger is not messing around when it comes to smoke. This one from the Alchemy Series combines older malts with boisterous young smoke bombs, and even features some recognisable names like Bunnahabhain Moine, as well as the heaviest peated malt in the Black Bottle reserves. For an extra layer of smoke, grain whisky was added to casks that previously held a highly-peated island malt.
Initial notes of TCP, coastal peat, burnt rubber, smoked herbs, and seaweed. It’s a big, seaside-smoke-fest, supported by notes of salted caramel and toasted barley.
Lots more of that peaty power is tempered by honeyed barley, oaky vanilla, old-school boiled sweets, and toffee.
Smoke and salted caramel remain.

A very subtle example of an Islay malt. Light in colour and easy on the palate. Exceptionally easy drinking.
A beautiful blend of smoke and peat! Perfect! My favourite Black Bottle to date.
This is a easy drinkable Whisky, which is bottled at 46.3% On the bottle it also states, non-chill filtered and natural colour, so this raises it above a normal blended Whiskies. The tasting notes are spot on, I would just like a bit more peat, but for the price you cannot complain. Kev Doncaster
An excellent whisky I tried this on a whim and thoroughly enjoyed it smooth with a lasting flavor I will be buying more
Invariably a single malt man, I decided to take advantage of the black bottle bundle special offer to try them out - and so far I'm very glad I did. This one is better than many a single malt. It's 46 proof and ncf and very smooth with plenty of smoke to enjoy.
