Sherry
A fab independent bottling of Williamson single malt Scotch whisky here from Berry Bros. & Rudd. This one was distilled in 2014 and bottled up in 2021, following a finishing period in an Oloroso sherry butt cask. Eventually, 449 bottles of the cask strength Islay whisky were bottled up. Smoke and sherry – a great flavour pairing!
Tarry ropes and sea spray, with a hint of marzipan sweetness underneath.
Dried cherry, seaweed, Iodine, and runny toffee.
A long finish, with oodles of peaty notes and cooked fruit.
