Bourbon

Joining the Contrasts series from Speyside's Benromach distillery, this heavily peated single malt was distilled in 2012 and matured in a selection of first-fill bourbon barrels. The delicate, fragrant notes of vanilla and apricot imparted by the cask provide a satisfying contrast to the heavy, ashen peat smoke at its core.
Sweet notes of butterscotch, oak char, and hearty peat smoke.
Waves of vanilla, buttery oak, and banana bread cushion toasty, pungent bonfire smoke and charred citrus.
Oily lemon zest lingers, with soft fudge and earthy ash.
