Part of Benromach's Contrasts range, this expression from the Speyside-based distillery is a certified organic single malt! It was matured in new oak casks, which were filled in 2012 and cracked open in 2021, with the whisky bottled up at 46% ABV. Fully accredited by the UK Soil Association, this one. Marvellously impressive.
Fudge, coconut husks, a touch of singed barley leading into nutty oak and warming spices.
Banana fritters, pancakes with salted butter, peppercorn, cinnamon gum.
Well-rounded malt, with a vanilla-rich, biscuity hint lingering.
