A 2009 vintage single malt from the Benromach Distillery, drawn from a combo of first-fill bourbon and sherry casks in 2020 - 29 of them, to be specific. Not only that, the whisky was bottled up at cask strength! Satisfying stuff, this.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Flamed orange peel, oaky spices, a whiff of toasted brown sugar and subtle sweet peat warmth.

Palate Redcurrant and raspberry, joined by grilled pineapple and molasses. Slightly peppery as it develops, with a hint of caraway.

Finish Another helping of raspberry, now paired with dark chocolate.
