This single cask Benromach was bottled exclusively for the UK! Distilled in 2011, it was filled into a first-fill sherry hogshead, where it stayed until 2019. The lightly peated whisky was bottled at cask strength, a rather burly 60% ABV, with an outturn of 319 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Toffee apple and autumn fruit crumble, with lots of baking spice mixed in there too.
Palate
Dates and Pink Lady apple, with aromatic bonfire smoke surrounding cinnamon and fresh grassy notes.
Finish
Barley sugar and white pepper, with cooked red fruit.
