A fairly rare bottling of Benromach from Gordon and MacPhail, these older Benromach are very well regarded and are becoming increasingly hard to find.
Brown sugar caramelising on a peat-burning barbecue, fresh ground arabica beans.
Plenty of malty sweetness, introduced by overripe fruit with honey notes before the peat and barbecued smokiness power through the perfectly-balanced mix.
Extended and immensely pleasurable, a multifaceted tapestry with caramel and brown sugar interweaving through threads of peat and smoke.

Had the pleasure of tasting this rare treat tonight after a good plate of Angus steak and salad. Pleasantly smooth for my palate which is used to more common bottlings of Laphroiag, Glenmorangie, Lagavulin and Glenlivet.
