We love a good single cask Benrinnes and also a good tale, so this latest from Fable Whisky is right up our alley. Distilled in 2013, it was matured for over nine years in a single hogshead cask before 281 bottles were filled with natural colour and no-chill-filtration at a hefty cask strength of 60.4% ABV. Benrinnes represents Chapter Four: The Bay in the Ghost Piper of Clanyard Bay myth, but it's rumoured that this will be the last of that series before a new myth is created.
Orange chocolate, espresso, oak spice, and a creamy nutty quality.
Rich malty tones lead with dried fruit, toasted oak, dark chocolate, and a hint of cured meat.
Cinnamon and tropical fruit.
