A 25 year old single malt from the Benrinnes Distillery, independently bottled up by Càrn Mòr for the Celebration of the Cask series. This particular expression was distilled in 1996 and aged in a sherry butt until 2021 – by that time it had taken on plenty of wonderful Christmas spice and dried fruit notes, alongside an impressive ruby hue. 482 bottles were produced.
Mince pies, walnuts, a hint of orange peel, old sherry and mature oak.
Cinnamon and nutmeg, shortbread, dried cherry, malt, pecan.
Peppery barley with hints of cinnamon remaining.
