A Benrinnes from independent bottler Montgomerie's. Distilled on 5th October 1988, aged in cask 2835, and bottled in March 2013. After over 24 years of maturation, expect great concentration from this one.
Really lovely dram to start off 2016 - lighter and dryer than the 15yo but fabulous subtle peatiness and lovely long finish.
A keen eye! Thank you for pointing that one out, Colobus monkeys sometimes attack the office and add years on to whiskies. They are a menace, and need to be stopped! (on a more serious note, thank you, we've corrected the mistake now) --The Chaps at Master of Malt
"24YO" but it has "over 25 years of maturation"?
