The team at indie bottler Chapter 7 picked out a cracking cask of single malt from the Benrinnes Distillery for this expression! Distilled in 2009 and matured for a dozen years in an Oloroso sherry hogshead, a total of 324 bottles were eventually released for the ongoing Monologue series.

Nose
Buttered shortbread, baked apple, a touch of fig followed by chocolate Brazil nuts.
Palate
Dates and sultanas, zesty orange peels, and buttery barley lead to nutty notes of maple syrup and cedar.
Finish
A warming hit of ginger appears, with chocolate raisins and cocoa in tow.
