What we've got here is an independent bottling of single malt Scotch whisky from the brilliant Benrinnes Distillery, which was distilled in 2011 and set aside to age in a single cask. After ten years of rest, the whisky was bottled up by Adelphi in 2021, with an outturn of 273 bottles.
Oily barley, walnut loaf, a handful of raisins and sultanas.
Still enjoyably malty, with a slow build of pepper and baking spice, plus almonds and cashews.
Just a hint of white grape freshness appears from behind the vanilla and nutmeg notes.
