The BenRiach 9 Year Old 2008 (cask 2047) forms a part of the BenRiach single cask selection Batch 14. This edition of the ambitious collection of Speyside single malts is non-chill filtered and of natural colour. At 63.2%, it also carries the strongest ABV of the collection, and 838 bottles were filled.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Sweetness and spice combine nicely and are joined tastefully by peat smoke.
Palate
Full of sweet red fruits that slightly tame the peat smoke, but it's mercifully aided by a woody spice.
Finish
A medium finish, with the sweet fruity notes fading after the spice.
