This single malt Speysider was distilled at the brilliant Benriach Distillery in 2012. For eight years, it was allowed to rest in a single American oak cask, then finished in a Marsala wine cask before bottling in 2021! Independently released as part of The Cooper's Choice collection from The Vintage Malt Whisky Co., only 198 bottles were drawn from this cask.
Vanilla sponge cake with boozy sultanas, toasted nuts, toffee, and freshly polished oak.
Buttery pastries, peach tarts, poached pear with wafts of cinnamon and pepper amongst vanilla and earthy walnut.
Sweet notes of treacly ginger cake, barrel char, prunes, and burnt caramel.
