An 18-year-old peated single malt from Benriach, initially matured in American oak casks before being finished in Pedro Ximénez Sherry casks from southern Spain. The name, Albariza, comes from a type of white soil with a high chalk content, which is known as a very good type of soil to grow grapes for Sherry production. Ah, see. It all comes full circle.
