Single Malt
Scotland
1 Jan 2007
Benriach single malt distilled in 2007 and then aged for 17 years in a refill hogshead cask before being bottled at 47.3% ABV with no chill-filtration or added colouring. This Thompson Bros. release is comprised of a total of 296 bottles.
Dried apricots, ginger spice, honey, and fresh lime, smells like it would make a great margarita. Some funk characteristics, too. Kind of like a baby cahaca. Gummy worms.
Honeyed malt, some stone fruit, green grapes white pepper and yellow plums.
Salty and funky on the finish.
