This rather interesting release from BenRiach was selected specially by the fine folks over at La Maison du Whisky - it's an 11 year old single malt which was distilled in April 2006 and left to age in a sweet white wine hogshead. In September 2017 it was bottled with an outturn of 265 bottles. Very intrigued to see what impact the sweet white wine cask has had on BenRiach's top notch spirit...
Juicy pear and earthy vanilla, with a hint of sawdust coming through.
Trebor Spearmint Softmints, apricot-filled pastries, a touch of walnut.
Banana, more mint, caraway.
