The BenRiach 10 Year Old 2007 (cask 101) is one of seven casks from BenRiach's latest bottling – Batch 14. Matured for 10 years in a first fill Oloroso sherry butt, this classic-style Speyside single malt was distilled using peated malt in January 2007. The BenRiach 10 Year Old 2007 (cask 101) is non-chill filtered and of natural colour, with 475 bottles produced.
A rounded, sweet caramel aroma that's almost buttery. It's tempered well by emerging black pepper spice.
The black pepper maintains and sharpens warming oak. The sweetness dissipates but isn't missed.
Medium length, with welcome notes of peat.
