BenRiach Importanticus 12 Bottling Note

Just 2,520 bottles of this BenRiach Importanticus were released. It's a 12 year old aged in ex-bourbon casks before being finished in casks previously used to mature Tawny Port.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Dark peat. It proves powerful, deep and medicinal. Iodine.

Palate: Full. That dark peat is all-pervading. Bruised fruit and a very, very gentle toffee sweetness. The bulk of this is quite simple, yet beguiling. The juiciness of the cask-finish provides a little depth, but perhaps the mouth feel is where it all lies.

Finish: Long, malt and peat lingering, a little malmsey has crept in, peppered spice.

Worth a look

Just found a bottle, and if you see one I would recommend you pick it up if you like a little peat.
Smooth and delicious.
