Single Malt
Scotland
The team at Forgotten Gems took a hike up to Ben Nevis for this splendid discovery, distilled in the auspicious year of 1996. Here we have a 26-year-old single malt from the Ben Nevis distillery, and there are only 48 bottles!
Balsamic poached fruits, caramelised sugar, and zesty orange peels cushion the rich old oak that rests beneath.
Cooked apples and stone fruits join dark currants, with meaty malt and leathery oak bringing fragrant notes of peppercorns and tobacco.
Waxed citrus, earthy barley, and a touch of spicy heat.
