Bell's Original is a smooth, well-rounded whisky with a hint of smoke. It's perfect for enjoying neat or on the rocks.
Bell's whisky is the United Kingdom's most popular blended Scotch whisky, this is the standard release of Bell's Original, with notes of fresh herbs on the nose with cereal sweetness on the palate.
Quite soft and gentle. Malted barley and hints of cut herbs and a fresh floral note. Cereal and grist with a little honey.
Quite smooth, medium body. Barley and cereals with nut oils, hints of wood and spice.
Short with notes of fruitcake and smoke.

It's Bells, it's a very good blended whisky and has been for many years and is standard supply in every pub in Scotland . That speaks for itself . along with other well known brands it holds its own in the bars .Yes I see it is now on supply in Thailand and about time too .The price although possibly a promotional one in Thailand is EXTREMELY acceptable and most expats here are getting wind of it . Personally I am JW black label man but Bells at this price here will do fine considering what they charge for the JW black . It isn't a favourite at most bars in Scotland for generations for no good reason. Don't listen to the so called purists. Oh and most single malts are just overated in my opinion anyway .
I bought the bottle with the Union Jack in Thailand and being an expat thought I would give it a go at just 350 baht a bottle (about 8 quid). I had been spending 1500 baht on a 1 litre bottle of Jamesons which I enjoyed a lot. I wasnt expecting it to be superior but I was still really disappointed with the quality. It just tastes cheap, very rough and unpalatable even with lashings of pepsi. I will try it with ginger ale but I doubt I will buy it again.
It's an okay, cheap whisky. Due to the price, it isn't really consumed for its taste.
Very new to whisky, thought I'd give this a try buying a small 20cl bottle. Pleasantly surprised. Can't see much going on in the smell, but very smooth on the palate. I would just edge it over white and mcKay, and it tastes better straight than jack Daniels 7 imo.
There is a new release in a bottle sporting a Union Jack (Brexit?) label. I haven't had a Bell's for a few years but remember that it was a reasonably pleasant drop. But this is awful! The least palatable dram I've ever encountered. It's like raw grain spirit mixed with industrial boot-polish. No finesse, no smooth notes or discernible spice. Maybe a hint of creosote? Whatever you have done, please undo and go back to your roots. Can't contemplate finishing the bottle - and I'm a bottle a week scotch drinker.
