Bell's Original is a smooth, well-rounded whisky with a hint of smoke. It's perfect for enjoying neat or on the rocks.
Bell's whisky is the United Kingdom's most popular blended Scotch whisky, this is the standard release of Bell's Original, with notes of fresh herbs on the nose with cereal sweetness on the palate.
Quite soft and gentle. Malted barley and hints of cut herbs and a fresh floral note. Cereal and grist with a little honey.
Quite smooth, medium body. Barley and cereals with nut oils, hints of wood and spice.
Short with notes of fruitcake and smoke.
Bell's is my favorite Scotch. I just wish it were available in the US. I always bring some home when I visit the UK, but you can't bring much. Some of my UK friends laugh that I like such a low-cost Scotch, but my tastes are my tastes.
I drank bells for many years and it was fine. Recently something has changed with the taste I will not be buying anymore
Its adequate. It's a production line blend. It will get you pissed. It can also clean paint brushes and you can run a motorbike on it. Then again what do you expect for a tenner a bottle
It isn't anything fancy and should not be compared to expensive malts, but when it offers a smoky and rich flavour with a surprisingly long finish for its price, try it if you love peat and smoke on your whisky though be warned that it doesn't work at all for mixing and does not like ice at all.
My brother gave me a bottle for Christmas, I nearly gave it away as I like single malts. Tried it, love it! I lost my sense of taste and smell for over a year due to Covid but I was convinced it was peaty so I checked on here and thankfully I was right! And it turns out that thankfully I'm not a whiskey snob either! I'll buy this one in the future. Thanks Mr Bells
