Bell's Original is a smooth, well-rounded whisky with a hint of smoke. It's perfect for enjoying neat or on the rocks.
Bell's whisky is the United Kingdom's most popular blended Scotch whisky, this is the standard release of Bell's Original, with notes of fresh herbs on the nose with cereal sweetness on the palate.
Quite soft and gentle. Malted barley and hints of cut herbs and a fresh floral note. Cereal and grist with a little honey.
Quite smooth, medium body. Barley and cereals with nut oils, hints of wood and spice.
Short with notes of fruitcake and smoke.
I drink a lot of this. From previous reviews, I think a lot of the younger end who have been brought up to believe "smooth is good" find this a bit much for them, due to being used to drinking the cloying forgettable blandness of White & Mackay, Grouse et al. It's smoky, edgy and tastes like bog standard pub Scotch used to taste like back in the old days. A proper man's dram that is available everywhere and good value for money. It's not for jessies.
horrible, just absolutely minging unless you add coke etc. io thought my bottle was fake so took to local pub for others to try, they all said the same thing as me,some didnt even want to try. shows the power of the interweb though,i only bought it cos of the adverts,im not a drinker, and yet a whole 35cl bottle had zero effect on me,not even tipsy. what a con.
I love
Something has definitely changed with this I use to drink it all the time .. heard this off of a few people now.. it really isn’t nice .. I wondered why it was so cheap in my local supermarket .. I’ve gone onto famous grouse Now .. your loss bells
Enough light smoke & slight peat to keep this whisky interesting, but not to much to sour the sweetness, tastes like a scotch should do, remember the first time you tried a whisky ??? This is it, a real blast from the past & would highly recommend, good enough for an everyday dram.
