Bell's Original is a smooth, well-rounded whisky with a hint of smoke. It's perfect for enjoying neat or on the rocks.
Bell's whisky is the United Kingdom's most popular blended Scotch whisky, this is the standard release of Bell's Original, with notes of fresh herbs on the nose with cereal sweetness on the palate.
Quite soft and gentle. Malted barley and hints of cut herbs and a fresh floral note. Cereal and grist with a little honey.
Quite smooth, medium body. Barley and cereals with nut oils, hints of wood and spice.
Short with notes of fruitcake and smoke.
I even ran my mower on this, great stuff
I'm a recent convert to Bell's. Surprised by how much I liked it, considering how many people seem to hate it. Smoke, dark fruit, malt...it works for me. It's obviously not on the same level as an expensive single-malt, but surprisingly enjoyable as a daily dram, for me. Each to their own.
It's the perfect Scotch to mix with dry ginger ale and ice. It already has a ginger cake flavour, so why not ramp it up? I find Teacher's has too much peaty smoke to mix with dry, but Bell's being much closer to Dewar's White Label is the perfect match...but far cheaper!
Bells is so overrated. Its just an average blended whisky. I might use it in a hot toddy with plenty of honey and lemon. But nothing else. I tried highland black from aldi, far superior for a blend.
I'm not a fan of Islay, peaty whiskeys in the main as I find them a little to much for my pallette. So the smokey, peaty taste of Bells is definitely not to my liking. Bells for me tastes over the top and artificial. If I had no other choice of whiskeys, I would rather quit drinking altogether.
