Distilled on 8 March 1971, this expression from The Balvenie Distillery was lovingly filled into a European oak Oloroso sherry butt, where it was left to mature for the following 47 years. Finally, after nearly a whopping half a century had passed, it was bottled as part of the DCS Compendium, a collection of whiskies chosen for their unusual qualities.
