Wine Cask
This is the classic unpeated Balvenie aged in American oak before finishing in French Pineau casks. Pineau des Charentes is a speciality of the Cognac region, a blend of unfermented grape juice and brandy aged in oak to produce a popular sweet digestif. It works beautifully with The Balvenie’s sweet, fruity profile.
Toasted oak, butterscotch, North African spices and heady ripe red fruit.
A harmonious commingling of sweetness and spice with honey, brioche and cherries.
Warming winter spices and caramel.
