This Balvenie single malt was originally released as a Travel Retail exclusive, but here's your chance to grab a bottle without going on holiday! The whisky finished its 12-year maturation in casks seasoned with a bespoke rum blend, selected for its golden, caramel-rich character, the result is a rich and characterful sipper, brimming with notes of sweet honey and spice, soft stone fruits, and a touch of tropical coconut.
Don't get me wrong because this is a very nice whisky. BUT it isn't quite as nice as the Balvenie Caribbean cask. It is exactly the same strength but a couple of years younger and costs around £11 more. Hmm.
