
The stunning second batch of Balvenie's Tun 1401, named after the favourite marrying tun of Balvenie's malt master, David Stewart. This is made using sherry and bourbon wood aged whiskies from the latter part of the 1960s up to the late 1980s.

Sweet and rich on the nose with notes of tropical fruits, hints of coconut, a little spice, vanilla and marzipan. Touches of leather, dates and cinnamon, with rose petal jelly and barrel char.
Oaky, rich and quite fruity, with nectarine, acacia honey and custard notes, hints of cocoa and walnut and a touch of apple sauce.
Good length, with honey, spices and a suggestion of caramelised orange zest.
