What happens when peaty whisky meets Manzanilla casks? You get a treat like this 2004 vintage Ballechin Scotch (that's the name Edradour uses for its peaty whiskies). Matured in a trio of salty Spanish sherry wine casks for 19 years before it was bottled at 55% ABV, natural colour and no chill-filtration.
Nutmeg, chocolate-coated raisins, liquorice, toffee apples, peppermint, and strong peat smoke.
Juicy damson, cooked apple, earthy smoke, marmalade, and cocoa powder.
Espresso and hickory smoke.
