Ballantine's
Scotland
Blended
The key ingredients in the Ballantines blends are Miltonduff and Glenburgie as well as whisky from around fifty other distilleries. This is their 12 year old.
Fruit salad and sherry, mixed nuts.
Rather creamy. Mochaccino and buttery pastry, spice.
Gentle, spice and fruitcake.
I thoroughly enjoyed it. Easily drinkable. Much better than the Ballantine's Finest which was unpleasant for me. Ballantine's 12 feels like a mellowed down Talisker 10 sans the smoke. It contains some delicious soft fruits. I got it with 40% ABV.
Sherry, malt, smoke and grain all work there in harmony. If you can spot the bottle around, try it.
Intense honey and vanilla with hints of coffee spice and sherry i think i found a new favorite blend :D good bye chivas and johnnie walker black label.
Beautifully rich notes of honey and a bit of caramel. Kind of creamy and with a bit of a final bite at the end. Absolutely a step up from the Ballantine's Finest.
A very well balanced whiskey with a refinement unique to the Ballentine's range. Very very good. All class !!!
