Single Malt
Scotland

Independently bottled Balblair single malt - not a common sight at all! This was distilled in June 2011 and initially matured in a sherry butt. It was finished in a Pedro Ximénez sherry hogshead before being bottled in October 2017 with an outturn of 306 bottles by A.D. Rattray.
A bit gristy, though plenty of chocolate raisin and grilled pineapple notes give it some richness.
More dried fruit! Hints of flaky pastry and clove.
A touch of burnt rye bread gives it an enjoyable bitterness on the finish.
