A 2003 vintage single malt Scotch whisky from the Balblair distillery. They were matured in second fill bourbon casks until 2013 when the whisky was popped in Balblair's stylish bottles.
Bright aromas of delicate flowers, light citrus blossom and a trickle of honey.
Oranges and lemons, fresh and fruity. More honey? Yes indeed!
A fairly spicy finish.
Classic Balblair brilliance.

This pour is captivating from the start. The color is lighter than other highland offerings but not weak or watery. Aroma is simple but direct, a very confident recipe. I use a single ice ball and let the whisky own the glass for a moment or two. The first draw is kind, hints of citrus and honey drop. The finish is smooth and soothing.
A soft malt with a honey aroma. Taste and aroma accentuated with a little water. A first rate whisky.
Amazing whiskey
For me this is pretty spicey, but oh so good. Slightly sweet, and leaves a lovely warm tingle on the tongue. Hints of hot toddy maybe? Will buy again!
lovely neat but even better over one rock of ice
