Azabu Pure Malt comes to us all the way from Japan, featuring peated malt aged in bourbon barrels blended with malt whiskies from Scotland, and finished in sherry casks. It packs a light, fragrant flavour profile with flashes of freshly ground spices. We reckon it ought to make for a good spring sipper...

Nose
Nutty, grassy malt arrives first, supported by touches of cinnamon and black pepper.
Palate
More grassy barley, a slow build of sherry-soaked raisin sweetness paired with fresh citrus, another kick of black pepper.
Finish
Gingersnaps and mint leaf.
