A splendid single malt from Aultmore. After distillation, this expression spent 11 years maturing in a single refill sherry cask, until it was independently bottled up by the folks at The Sipping Shed at a bold 61.3% ABV.
Buttered brioche, creamy lemon zest with crunchy ginger biscuits, sweet figs and chocolate raisins.
Floral honey creeps in alongside spicy clove and pepper, with soft vanilla and more sweet citrus to balance.
Juicy sultanas and cakey spice, the zesty freshness continues beside sweet, biscuity malt.
