Bourbon
Single malt from the Aultmore Distillery here, independently bottled by Gordon & MacPhail for the Connoisseurs Choice range. This one was distilled in 2005 and allowed to age in a refill bourbon barrel for 15 years, until it was later bottled in July 2021 at cask strength. A release of 241 bottles.
Lemon meringue pie, chocolate biscuits, ginger, and buttered toast.
Vaguely floral, before more vanilla and citrus notes develop, with a flutter of white pepper spiciness.
Lasting white chocolate and sweet cinnamon.
