12 year old Aultmore single malt Scotch whisky, unveiled in 2014 for the Last Great Malts by Dewar's. A refreshing dram, with plenty of vanilla, honey and citrus, alongside a touch of grassiness. It's been quite a while since a distillery bottling of Aultmore has been released, so this is all rather exciting indeed.

Palest single malt that I have drunk undiluted, what a surprise, subtle pleasing blend rasberries, pears honey bananas sprinkling of sea salt and heather. Then comes the finish - wow l- o- n- g lingering
Pears with a kick. This dram is pears from end to finish. Whilst this may not seem that interesting, there are subtle complexities from end to finish as the whisky develops in the glass. It's simply beautiful.

"Nose" (undiluted) Floral notes of dandelion, roses, apple blossoms, honey sweetness and butter. Very balanced and pleasing drawing you in again and again. "Palate" (undiluted) Powerful burst of graprefruit and pears. Honey, fruit cup syrup (in a good way!), golden wheat, barley, vanilla, banana, English cream and custard. "Finish" (undiluted) Cream, lemons, sea salt, limes. The flavors linger a long time! General Impressions Very good! I was really surprised by the obscure distillery. Brilliant and well balanced! Highly recommended!
Wow. What a find. Citrusy & fresh. Fantastic with a good glug of water. Really brings out the honey and grassy notes. My new favourite 12 year old speyside!
