Bourbon
A Cooper's Choice bottling of Aultmore single malt, aged for a decade in a single bourbon cask. This was distilled back in October 2006 and bottled in 2016 with an outturn of just 370 bottles.
Toffee Crisp bars (chocolate, biscuit, toffee - yum!), with a core of juicy apple.
Honey'd malt, root ginger and dried grass.
Still rich in honey notes on the medium length finish.
Most satisfying and fulfilling bottling. Initial liquorice nose gave way to predominantly lemon and citrus aromas that carried forward into the taste. Lingering on the tongue the finish long and rewarding.
