The first batch of Auchroisk (say 'Othrusk') from That Boutique-y Whisky Company and what a label! Rarely released as a single malt, this Speyside distillery has very little do with the impending Zombie Apocalypse but we thought it was about time one of our whiskies featured some zombies! One of them even looks a bit like Master of Malt's Tom in fancy dress. Probably a coincidence though...

‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains, bourbons, blended malts and blends from a variety of renowned distilleries. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic-novel-style labels.
Sugar beets, blueberry, crisp bread and sweet home made strawberry jam with a hint of something more herbaceous.
Brains... Oh no wait, that's just jam. Cream tea with a disproportionate serving of jam in fact. A slightly oaky-biscuity-ness towards the end.
Fresh mint leaves straight from the plant. Extraordinary!
Stunning, jammy sherry and that mint! Epic. In fact, this is so delicious I might keep it all for myself...
