An independently bottled 7 year old Auchroisk single malt, released as part of the Parkmore Selection (based in the Coleburn warehouse - wonderful stuff to hear for those of us who love hearing about closed distilleries not just being left to rot or getting smashed into pieces). It was initially aged in bourbon casks before enjoying a finishing period in casks that previously held Madeira wine!
Roasted barley and buttered apples, with a whiff of pipe tobacco underneath.
Rounded red fruit juxtaposed by rich smoke. Slightly chocolatey at points.
Freshly cut herbs and a light touch of oak resin.
