This 15 year old single malt was distilled at Auchroisk in May 2006, and matured for 15 years, including a finish in a Sauternes hogshead. In 2021, the team at indie bottler Alistair Walker opened the cask to release a total of 286 bottled for its Infrequent Flyers series.
Honeyed nuts with wafts of figs and caramel, raisin pastries follow rich sweet malt.
Fruit cake spices, more honey with a slightly herbal oiliness, jammy berries, and tarte tatin.
Orange zest and warming spiced pear, a touch of flint with zingy green peppercorns.
