Ah, wonderful Auchroisk whisky ahoy! This one is an indie bottling of Auchrosik Distillery, matured in a bourbon hogshead for 11 years, from April 2008 to July 2019. After maturation, it was bottled at cask strength by A.D. Rattray, with an outturn of 305 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Green apples and heavy cream, followed by by a dusting of brown sugar. Some earthy, flinty elements build in the background.
Palate
Toasted almonds, leading into notes of biscotti and coffee. Still got some of that green apple sharpness to it.
Finish
A low rumble of black pepper and star anise spiciness.
