A Lowland single malt matured in 3 different casks, namely: Pedro Ximénez Sherry casks, bourbon casks and Oloroso Sherry casks. A distinctive triple distilled whisky from Auchentoshan.
Cooked fruit, sherry, toffee, a rum-like quality and notes of Bas Armagnac distilled circa 1940.
Rich. Liqueur cherries in dark chocolate, more sherried fruit, ripe dark forest fruits, like a Black Forest Gateaux.
Superb, led by thick dark treacle and toffee notes and chewy wooded notes, balanced with a green fruit edge.

Absolutely divine. The nicest whisky I’ve had yet. Stunning, I will aim to always have a bottle of this beaut now.
All deep fruity treacle tart. Not hugely complex but very tasty and consistent from nose to mouth.
My son bought me a 3 taste pack. American Oak. 3 wood. And 12 year. Old, The. 3 wood, with no age declared. Gives a rich, Tofffee. Caramel. Aroma and taste, The. Smell. Delivers the taste, Would not be disappointed in a full bottle son. Thank you. I recommend !
I’ve really enjoyed this. I liked it before in the old style bottling but this is even tastier than I remember. I get rich burnt caramel and treacle puddings like you used to get in a can. It’s a desert whisky and great for the price. Definitely worth a pop!
Was hoping this is good after seeing the good reviews here. Got a bottle on sale and started tasting it. Nose is very sherry forward, with very predominant note of cognac or armagnac. Taste is quite intense with lots of dark fruits, finish is peppery but not too long. Personally not to my liking as I don't like the cognac taste..
