    Auchentoshan American Oak

From the Auchentoshan distillery in the Scottish Lowlands comes a triple distilled single malt Scotch whisky aged entirely in first fill American oak casks. A light, bright whisky with plenty of vanilla sweetness at its centre - great as an aperitif dram.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

    Nose

Oranges and lemons, toffee chunks and milk chocolate. Wafts of grassy air and clotted cream.

    Palate

Bounty bars, more citrus peels and peaches. A little bit buttery, with golden barley and oak spice developing on the mid palate.

    Finish

Lasting notes of grapefruit and toffee pennies.

another nice dry whisky from Auchtoshan

the 12 year old is better, but this is also worth the price for those who love dry whisky

It's different ! In good way

Definitely a citrus zing detected that make this a very unique scotch and very interesting to drink (with a dot of water in my case). My new favourite. Well worth a punt if you like smooth stuff with a twist

    Smooth, light and flavorful

I had never tasted nor heard of Auchentoshan before but purchased a bottle on a whim. This is an excellent scotch, very smooth, light on the tongue and the taste holds up even after a few. The price is an added bonus as it costs about the same as Glenlivet 12 where I live. I'm usually a MacCallum 12 drinker but this may become my new go to scotch.
