    Auchentoshan American Oak

From the Auchentoshan distillery in the Scottish Lowlands comes a triple distilled single malt Scotch whisky aged entirely in first fill American oak casks. A light, bright whisky with plenty of vanilla sweetness at its centre - great as an aperitif dram.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

    Nose

Oranges and lemons, toffee chunks and milk chocolate. Wafts of grassy air and clotted cream.

    Palate

Bounty bars, more citrus peels and peaches. A little bit buttery, with golden barley and oak spice developing on the mid palate.

    Finish

Lasting notes of grapefruit and toffee pennies.

Really great whisky and now want to try others in the range.

The amazing bourbon flavour knocked me back a bit on my first sip but is outstanding and the flavour albeit smooth lingers on the palate seemingly forever...My first taste of this magnificent scotch whisky and won't be my last...

    Excellent Value

For the price, magic. Prefer this to Tamnavulin for only £20 at Tesco. Smooth, satisfying and rewarding.

    Superb

First try of a whisky for myself, really nice taste and recommend to anyone wishing to try for first time. Managed to get it for £13 so we’ll worth the money.

    My new staple, fantastic

My new staple, there’s always a bottle open in my house. A little piece of Christmas in a glass. Those flavours are fantastic.

    American Oak.. warming

This hits a bit hard up front, a little hot if you like that. Seems to be a young malt. Much better with a dash of water to mellow it down. I prefer the Auchentoshan Three Wood.
