Lowland distillery Auchentoshan's flagship single malt whisky, famously triple-distilled which is unusual for a Scotch. This contributes to its signature smooth character, however. It's been matured in both American oak and sherry casks.
A cereal-sweet nose with notes of guava and mango, with a drizzle of honey.
Oaky and sweet palate, with barley sugar, a little passion fruit and vanilla custard too. Perhaps some rose petal jelly in there.
A lengthy, dry and oaky finish with barley sweetness and cocoa powder.

I have enjoyed Auchentoshan's 12 year old single malt for a couple of years. It is a refined sipping Whiskey to be savoured. Most enjoyed neat or with ice. What a decent well priced whiskey should taste like. Having a nip or two now. Cheers
I found Auchentoschan only recently but now I hardly buy anything else. It is so smooth that you'd imagine mostly women would target the bottle to find the label. But all my guests have been doing that. Try it. You won't be disappointed.
