Behold, the wonderful Arran 18 Year Old single malt! This expression has has been aged just shy of two decades in sherry casks, so among those delicious fresh fruity notes, there's some richer, spicy, almost Christmassy notes in there too.
Syrupy peaches, green apple and toasty oak.
Vanilla rice pudding and brown sugar, with orange blossom, allspice and candied ginger.
Lots of melted chocolate appears, with citrus peel and bread and butter pudding.
More than 25 nopes more than when I bought it 2 months ago... Shocking! This is a good whisky but trust me buy the 10yo you won't be disappointed either.
Bought this a month ago o MOM for £82. 1) Is it better Than the 10yo = Yes, richer & a little more compressed so time in the glass helps. 2) Does it still have that Arran signature = Yes, most definitely. 3) Is it twice as good as the 10yo as the price tag would sugest = Hell no! Not worth the xtra money at £82 let alone the £17 increase in price since last month... IMO buy 2 x 10yo instead! It's great too & way better bang for your buck, plus you'll baulk less at sharin' it with friends ;)

Really good whisky, loved the nose, palate, and finish, really well-balanced and absolutely worth trying. The only place i'd say it falls short is the mouthfeel which lacks in viscosity - I do like the oily, thick mouthfeel and it doesn't have that but, apart from that minor gripe, it's really good.
Arran never disappoint. Huge fan of their Sauternes, Cote Rotie & Amarone, so I thought I'd give the 18 a go. Easily the best malt on my shelf
