    Arran Malt & Music Festival 2022 - 12 Year Old 2009 (cask 847)

Only 305 bottles were produced of this Arran single cask single malt from Lochranza distillery. The whisky was distilled in 2009 and matured in a single sherry hogshead until it was bottled in 2022 for the Malt and Music Festival, at a cask strength of 55.5% ABV.

This bottle was part of a private collection - if you'd like more detailed photos just get in touch!

    Tasting Note by The Producer

    Nose

It is a rich and malty dram with classic notes of dark chocolate and dry stone fruits. It evoked memories of dunnage warehouses with subtle salinity on the nose reminiscent of a glass of Manzanilla sherry.

    Palate

Notes of frangipane and toasted bread emerge on the palate with a light touch of aniseed once it opens up.

    Finish

The finish is long and lingering, filled with sweet cherries in Kirsch.
